After a year and a half of stops and starts, hitches and glitches, writing and promoting, filming and cutting and happy, joyful, heavy smoking times, Vultures has finished shooting.
As of March 7th, the remaining episodes are in the can so to speak and we’re very happy and ever so delighted with how they are looking.
This whole series has essentially been a big hobby for us all. And at the end of it, looking back on all the people who have worked on it, it’s tantamount to a community project. It’s been a big undertaking and one which infinitely stretched our ambitions well beyond our resources. It has taken nearly two years to complete with the 7 episode arc stretching over the period of a year and a half. Operating on such a small scale with so little time to get the results we want has led to compromise and some tough lessons learnt, but that’s why it’s been great. We’re getting better. And so is Vultures. Our final installments are the pinnacle of our work on this and everybody was firing on all cylinders for the 10 week shoot. To them all, we tip our hats.
We cannot put into words the work done by our cast and crew, who volunteered so much time. They were sensational and we are so proud that they elected to put so much work into Vultures. Thanks to all local businesses and people who supported us throughout the shoot. In particular, Young Irish Film Makers and Cartoon Saloon have been full of support, praise and encouragement. We all started in similar circumstances to them and if we can grow as they have done, we’ll be very happy men. From small acorns…
‘The Adventure Of The Hidden Microfilm’, our fifth installment will make it’s bow online this spring. More details on it shall be leaked slowly and teasingly onto the interwebs in these coming weeks.
And we can also finally announce that the finale of Vultures will be comprised of two episodes both to be premiered this summer. The sixth and seventh concluding instalments are one story we’ve decided to divide it into 2 parts. These final two episodes will tie our comic detective serial up in no doubt raucously action packed style. We’ll not be divulging the titles of the two episodes just yet but rest assured, all news and updates will be found here on this very website.
